A Culture of Safety
We uphold an unwavering commitment to the safety of our people.

OSHA SHARP Certified. A Standard We Sustain.
Maintaining OSHA SHARP (Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program) status reflects a commitment to safety. As one of a shortlist of companies in Virginia to hold this distinction, safety at Innovative is valued at every level and continuous improvement and accountability guide how we operate. This long-term focus strengthens our teams and reinforces the trust our clients and partners place in us.
Safety is owned by every person on every project
A culture that protects people starts with mindset and shared responsibility. When every individual is engaged and accountable, safety becomes a natural part of how work is planned and carried out, supporting everyone on the team and every project.

The Goal is Zero
Our goal is simple: zero incidents. We embed environmental health and safety principles into every phase of a project, from design through turnover. Innovative QuEST meetings, centered on Quality, Efficiency, Safety, and Teamwork, reinforce expectations across engineering, fabrication, and field operations, while weekly Toolbox Talks align teams to proactively address risk.
Before work begins, Job Hazard Analyses confirm roles, verify proper IPPE, inspect equipment, review fall protection and rigging plans, and ensure lockout and tagout procedures are in place. Every team member maintains documented training and is empowered through Stop Work Authority to halt work if a hazard is identified.
At Innovative, safety is not an add-on. It’s part of who we are.
Quality Control at Every Stage
As a refrigeration provider for thousands of refrigerated facilities, system reliability directly impacts public health. Every system is designed, built, and verified to operate as intended.
To reduce risk, equipment is inspected at multiple stages throughout fabrication and construction. Quality control teams identify and address potential issues before equipment leaves the manufacturing facility, using detailed inspection checklists to ensure consistency, reliability, and safe operation.
