The OSHA Stand Down Week has begun! According to OSHA, Safety Stand-Down is “a voluntary event for employers to talk directly to employees about safety. Any workplace can hold a stand-down by taking a break to focus on ‘Fall Hazards’ and reinforcing the importance of Fall Prevention!”

OSHA started this event as a way to bring awareness to the hazards associated with working up high. Falls from elevation are the leading cause of death in construction workers, so it’s important to know the engineering controls & PPE that can protect your life.

Here at Innovative, we are participating in OSHA’s Stand Down Week for the third straight year! Safety is a priority for us 365 days of the year! This week, our Toolbox Talks will review our company’s Fall Protection Plan and the importance of safety. We will also conduct some refresher training with our employees, emphasizing what to look for when inspecting fall protection equipment and ladders.
